Kiss goodbye to your lipstick
On average, women spend around 11 minutes a day applying or re-applying their lipstick. Allowing for the time when we’re asleep, we spend around 4 days each year with a lipstick in our hand.
Our highly effective lip treatments mean you can wave goodbye to your lipstick for good. Our semi-permanent lip liner, lip blush and full tint treatments are a brilliant way to achieve the lips of your dreams without having to spend time applying or touching up your colour.
By using carefully selected pigments to blend with your natural lip colour, you’ll be rewarded with a new look that perfectly complements your skin tone and achieves better lip definition.
Our advanced techniques can correct the shape of your lips to make them seem more balanced and symmetrical and by adding definition to the edge of your lips we can minimise the appearance of fine lines to give you a fresh, youthful look.
Our semi-permanent lip blush, lip liner and full tine treatments are available in a wide range of vibrant and dynamic colours in shades that perfectly match your natural lip base.
Minor imbalances or symmetry issues can also be resolved through our expert treatments, giving you the appearance of fuller lips.
Good to know
Lip blushing is essentially a cosmetic tattoo that enhances the shape, fullness and beauty of your natural lips by creating renewed definition and a more natural look.
Semi-permanent lip blushing is achieved by building up layers of colour using a tiny, superfine digital needle that deposits pigment gently into the lips.
Old-fashioned treatments that used carbon-based pigments and often achieved poor results are a thing of the past. Today you can choose from a wealth of organic and vegan pigment blends to achieve results that look and feel completely natural.
Obviously, one of the key benefits of opting for semi-permanent lip blushing is the time you’ll save applying and removing lipstick, but the advantages go beyond pure convenience.
By choosing lip blushing, lip tint or a full blush treatment, you’ll also be able to enhance and accentuate the beauty of your lips through improved fullness, better symmetry and greater balance.
The discomfort people feel varies from person to person. The area to be treated is numbed with an anaesthetic cream prior to the semi-permanent tattoo being applied by an expert and experienced technician.
Most patients find their lip blushing experience to be painless, but those who do experience any discomfort generally consider it to be mild.
The results vary from person to person, but on average, the effects of lip blushing can last upto 3 years, fading gradually over time.
However, the exact time depends very much on your lifestyle. If you’re a smoker, for example, you may find the effect lasts less time. The same is true if you spend lots of time in the sun and don’t protect your lips with a SPF barrier product.
When you come in for your first consultation, we’ll go through your medical history and talk through the most suitable treatments available to you, based on the look you’re trying to achieve.
The next step, when you come in for the treatment itself, is a preparatory session when Sian will draw the new lip look, allowing you to have an insight into the shape and colour of your lips once the treatment is complete.
From that point, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream before starting the tattooing procedure, which usually takes around 90 minutes, but which can be longer.
Once the treatment is complete, you may find your lips appear slightly swollen for a period. This is normal, and you can reduce the swelling by applying an ice pack to them.
In the week following your treatment your lips will heal, and this means they will develop slight flaky skin, which will gently peel away, so it’s worth making sure you plan for this in deciding when to have the treatment.
Once you book in for a consultation, we’ll sit down with you and talk through your reasons for choosing semi-permanent eye make-up and the look you’re trying to achieve. If you have pictures that inspire you, bring those along to your appointment, too!
Using our expertise and years of experience, we’ll then advise you on the best shape and/or colour options to achieve a personal style that works for you.
During your treatment, you’ll experience a buzzing sensation as the needle moves along the lash line to apply the colour.
Although the skin is being broken, there should be no bleeding, and because the area has been properly numbed, you may feel a slight tickling sensation, but no pain or discomfort.
